Ernest and Green
Specialists in horse head sculpture
Ernest and Green are specialists in creating cold cast bronze and hand painted horse head sculptures. Based at our workshops in rural Devon, we seek to work with our customers to create a personal and unique sculpture of their horse's head. Bronze finished and hand painted horse heads from Ernest and Green make the perfect gifts.
We offer hand crafted sculptures from our stock range of heads, which can be finished in cold cast bronze or hand painted to your photographs, to give that personal touch.
Alternatively, we can create a bespoke sculpture of your horse's head from your photographs, capturing the life and soul of your horse with skill and artistic taste.
"WOW!! Wait till you see the hand painted bust from England-it's unbelievable. The craftsmanship is amazing.....it looks just like him-the artist got the coloring, markings and kind eye down to the last detail. It's truly a work of art."
Joe Smith - USA
Should you choose the option of having your horse's head hand painted, our artists will do their very best to capture the likeness of your horse faithfully from your photographs, thereby creating a unique work of art.

Our sculptures can make superb gifts, and we are happy to work with you to preserve the surprise. We send out the finished heads' in packaging which does not identify the contents, and we can also offer a gift wrapping service.
Please browse the Ordering page for more information on the options available. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at our workshop on 01363 877 702. Our team will be more than happy to discuss your individual requirements. We look forward to hearing from you.
Caring for your Horse's head
In order to ensure that you get full enjoyment out of your sculpture, we suggest the following:
Cold cast bronze
Dust with a soft cloth. You can also use a natural wax furniture polish and buff with a soft cloth to your desired finish.
Painted finish
These sculptures have been sealed with a varnish to protect the painted surface. A soft cloth may be used for cleaning. Do not soak your sculpture in water or use any abrasive cleaner/cloth, as this may damage the surface.
".....thank you so much, he looks fantastic! I was really concerned you might not be able to capture exactly how he looked but I was wrong to doubt you! He is just how I remember him! He will be in pride of place from now on."
Mrs Abbatt
